What has made you a compionate person ?

I am rethinking some of the views I have had and I am praying that God makes me more compionate, I used to be very predudice about single mothers and had my misgivings but God has been showing me all Gods children are in need of love and mercy. My sister has said you don't know the whole story about what they have gone through. What has made you a more compionate person to people who have had issues with? I am asking this question so I can be a betyter witness and a light for the Lord. Thank you and God bless you.
