S2000 or pony car for daily driver?

I am young and single and figure I'll live a little while I can. I have always wanted a last generation Trans Am or Firebird for as long as I can remember. But recently been looking at an S2000. I test drove a few and they are fun little cars to drive. They aren't nearly as fast, but seem like a solid sports car to drive and like convertibles. I live in warmer climate so bad weather is not much of an issue. Anyone own either? I don't much like the Mustang as the are pretty overrated for the most part and everyone has one so I'm pretty much set on these.
