In yugioh do random decks still good even though the new meta decks that people have?

i miss having random decks and the feeling that its my own deck and no copies or really the idea was copied im running a gladiator beast deck its pretty good im keeping it but im wondering if i should make a random deck just of all good cards but im not sure so if anyone has any opions
